Why we need to start a public conversation about end-of-life

Professor Merryn Gott, Northern Communities Health Foundation Visiting Professor for 2015 gave a public lecture ‘We need to talk about dying - why we need to start a public conversation about end-of-life care on 20th May 2015 at the Florey Lecture Theatre University of Adelaide.

In Professor Gott’s presentation she references Maori Digital Stories – stories about end-of-life caregiving, tangihanga and bereavement. The makers sought permission from the 8 families who had the opportunity to digitally tell their stories about their families at the end-of-life and who make them available to support learning and help people caring for family members at the end of life. We express our thanks to them for sharing their stories and permitting us to host them on pallcare.asn.au.
